This report from New Relic shows how long pages take to render in the browsers of visitors from all of PHP-based websites Orpheum hosts. What you see here is that some websites take longer than others to load, and this has lots of variables baked into it like: webpage size, the visitor’s computing power, the visitor’s web browser, the visitor’s country, the size and length of any PHP code, and so on. Most of the time we’re doing pretty good, and this snapshot only accounts for the last 30 minutes.

Effective today, the .TEL registry has begun allowing the registration of certain 2-character .TEL domains along with certain numeric-only .TEL domain names (i.e. 1234567.tel) in General Availability. Anyone can register these new numeric-only and short .TEL domains beginning today, subject to availability, and on a first-come, first served basis through Orpheum.

Pricing for numeric domains is the same as all other .TEL domains – just $14.00 per year!

What is Allowed, and What Isn’t Allowed

Domains containing up to seven numbers, or a combination of up to seven numbers and hyphens, will be permitted. Additionally, certain two-character .TEL domains are also now allowed with the exception of any two-digit existing country codes.
