Nerd alert!

So we’re sitting here at Orpheum HQ when one of our technicians, busily creating network configurations and updating the underlying operating system on our servers, calls his desktop to our attention. Needless to say, we had to call “NERD ALERT!” on this one!

As you can see, we’re hard at work configuring our servers, updating things, making sure everything is set for launch. We know we missed, and apologize for missing, our target launch date of October 1. However we are very confident we will be launching some time this week. In fact, we made a conscious decision last night to switch control panels – we are dropping Virtualmin in favour of InterWorx. Virtualmin simply wouldn’t allow us to build the clustered, high availability platform we were looking for, and InterWorx will.

Not to mention that InterWorx has a much, much friendlier interface than Virtualmin for both the Orpheum team and our customers! And we will be producing tutorials to help you through everything as well.

We will be blogging more over the next few days, letting you know what we’re up to and hopefully a proper launch date. We cannot wait to offer you a terrific hosting service, and then work on launching our dedicated, managed and VPS servers after that!
